Scholarships
Upon admission to an undergraduate program at PBA, you may be offered a merit scholarship based on a review of your application and academic credentials. Talk with your Admissions Counselor about additional scholarship opportunities at PBA. Merit scholarships are renewable throughout your academic career at PBA through to graduation, provided you continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
While you are in high school, apply for community-based scholarships, scholarships available through your local church, and state and national scholarships. Build a portfolio to communicate more about yourself, your interests and accomplishments.
Through the generosity of many, PBA is blessed with both funded and endowed scholarships for which students can apply. These funds each have characteristics students must meet to be eligible. To streamline the process of connecting PBA students with the scholarships for which they are eligible, PBA students apply for these funds each year using the PBA universal scholarship application. Most often, scholarship awards are made one year at a time, and students are encouraged to reapply for future years.
Financial Aid
For domestic students and families, the financial aid process begins with a decision to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Through filing the FAFSA, you will discover your eligibility for federal student aid. Learning what federal grants, loans, and work-study opportunities you are eligible to receive is an important piece of information that will help you build your financial plan. Also, some PBA and outside scholarships require that a FAFSA be filed to apply.
The 2024-2025 FAFSA is open and available to students and families to file. PBA expects to receive information back from the US Department of Education as to which grants, loans and work-study opportunities students are eligible to receive by mid-March 2024. Once PBA receives your information, the PBA Financial Aid team will prepare a financial aid offer. The financial aid you are offered may be used in combination with the scholarships you have received as part of your financial plan.
We invite you to use our Net Price Calculator to estimate the cost of attending PBA.
There are times when a student and family may experience special circumstances that significantly reduce income. This could be loss of employment, separation, divorce, etc. and may warrant a special review of the student’s financial aid. Please visit our Professional Judgments page to learn more.
Payment
Any balance due after scholarships and financial aid have been applied to your account may be paid in full before the start of the semester or split into monthly payments by signing up for a payment plan.
Bills for the amount owed are issued electronically and can be viewed online via the Student Account Center. Monthly payment plans are offered through our partnership with NelNet and may be set up through the Student Account Center. Finalizing payment arrangements for the semester is required.
